wardrobes - before

1. Problem - disorganised wardrobe.

2. Pull everything out.

3. Sort it into piles:

  what to keep;
  to recycle;
  to get rid of.
  BE RUTHLESS!

4. Put back what you're keeping.
    See 'points to consider' for help!

5. Bag up what you don’t want and put it in the car to give to friends, clothes bins etc. (just get it out of the house).

wardrobes - after

Fantastic!

This wardrobe took 1 hour to sort,

1 hour shopping for new hangers/shoe racks,

half an hour to put it back together.

Because the time was taken to give it a good sort, it'll stay this way forever!

How often do you go to your wardrobe?  The time and effort invested is worth it!

wardrobes - points to consider

Sorting Clothes:   If you haven't worn it in 2 years, you'll never wear it.  By the time it fits you, it won't be in fashion or you'll be so excited that you've lost weight, you'll buy NEW clothes!

Storage Solution Products:   When putting back what you want to keep, there is always some product that can help in the reorganisation of your belongings.  There are many products out there, some expensive and some cheap, the choice is endless.

   Clothes:  Are your coathangers a mish mash of styles and sizes?  New coathangers (timber are nice) will hang your clothes at the same level and really makes a huge difference.  Compared to what you spend on your clothes, good hangers are cheap.  You can buy them in bulk 20 for $20, that's cheap!

   Shoes:  You can buy open wired shelves that stack on top of each other or there are plenty of special shoe boxes on the market.

   Handbags:  You can hang them from hooks, plastic shoe boxes are great, or plastic containers with lids.

   Belts:  Hooks stuck inside your wardrobe door are great, or there are coathangers designed to hold belts.

   Necklaces:  Again little hooks keep them sorted and easy to find.

Hint:   whatever containers you use for shoes and handbags, make them the same so they stack neatly and utilise maximum space.
